New Orleans Oil Spill 2009

15JUL2010 - Shallow Water Skimmer 08115JUL2010 - Shallow Water Skimmer 114

Within twenty-four hours of the BP oil spill Northwest had equipment bound for barges in New Orleans. Northwest designed and built a special “wand” to placing on the end a 36 meter boom. Water was then pumped through the boom. The pumped water was used for the first two years in the shallow waters to wash the marshes where boats and equipment could not enter.
