In 2012 KGM was awarded the new 520 bridge project. This two billion dollar floating bridge project is being built in the very environmentally conscience state Washington. KGM called on Northwest to help with equipment which could be leased for the huge “pushes”. Some of these pours are longer than 1000 feet over live commercial waterway. Northwest provided the Putzmeister 14000 with 2000 feet of v style pipeline. This pipeline is a tongue and groove with a rubber o ring which stops the slurry leaking under the very high pressure pours.
KGM is part of the group which was the contractor TNC, the one billion dollar bridge. The huge success enjoyed during the first billion dollar bridge has led to a lasting relationship in the two billion dollar bridge.
